Affectionately called “Doc” or “Dr. Michelle”, she is passionate about the health and well-being of others. With her God-given gifts of exhortation, teaching and hospitality, she lives each day with a heart for caring, encouraging, motivating and empowering those around her.

Dr. Michelle B. Calhoun is a board certified, internal medicine physician with 30 years of patient care experience. Her passion for caring for others is matched by her desire to help patients truly understand their health. Her passion for education reaches beyond the exam room, with years dedicated to teaching medical students, residents and physician assistant students.

The care and welfare of others is more than her profession — it is her passion, one she has pursued wholeheartedly for many years.

Dr. Michelle:

Beyond her medical career, Dr. Michelle shares her heart as both a speaker and an author. She has addressed women’s groups and teens, and has self-published two books —Let Us Always Give Thanks and Breast Cancer Through My Eyes: The Christian, The Physician, The Patient. Both were inspired by her own breast cancer journey and her deep gratitude to God for the gift of life. With more inspiring works on the horizon, she looks forward to continuing her writing and publishing journey and sharing even more books in the future.
